We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Data Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be strong in SQL and Python. Understand financial and operational business metrics and have excellent communication skills in English. As a Data Engineer, you will play a critical role in transforming raw data into actionable insights, facilitating smooth data operations for financial reporting, business intelligence and analytical needs.
This position is for a new data engineering team focused on financial data for both Touring and Cruising divisions and analytical data for the Cruising division. This team will work closely with our existing data engineering team to ensure alignment and support.
We are looking for someone with strong SQL and Data Modelling experience, and someone who hopefully has previous financial data exposure. It’s also important that you understand the importance of 100% accuracy needed for financial reporting, rather than the slight tolerance you might have in analytical reporting.
responsibilities :
Investigate and understand which data is needed for various use cases and ensure we create a fitting data model in Snowflake.
Develop and maintain ETL data pipelines, using SQL and sometimes Python, in DBT and Airflow to transform raw data from multiple sources into structured datasets aligned with business logic.
Prepare source datasets for Power BI developers and analysts to produce reporting in Power BI and other analytical tools, ensuring data accuracy and consistency.
requirements-expected :
Proficiency in SQL with the ability to write complex queries and optimize execution plans.
Real life experience in developing and managing data pipelines, preferably using Airflow and DBT.
Strong experience in Python for data manipulation, scripting, and automation.
Excellent English communication skills.
A minimum of 3 years of relevant, hands-on experience in data engineering or a closely related role.
