In your role as a Data Engineer, you will be working in the Data as a Service (DaaS) cell which builds products and services designed to provide barrier-free, easy-to-use information and test data for the whole bank. This includes data anonymization services, user interfaces, and a consolidated data layer.

On a daily basis, you will develop products based on database technology which are running in the Cloud (GCP) and on-prem. Your responsibilities will encompass the full Software Development Lifecycle including analysis, architecture, testing, and supporting during production issues during normal working hours.

The Big Data cluster is the enabler for data scientists and provides a huge collection of data and a data science workbench in one place.

Key Responsibilities:

• Build and enhance automated Data Pipelines that transform data into usable information.
• Software development, defect and requirements analysis, testing, and bug fixing of applications.
• Take care of proper up-to-date system documentation.
• 3rd Level Support for our daily processes, Site reliability engineering.
• Drive technical discussions and implement new features to enable new business cases.

Technology & Skills:

• High knowledge of SQL.
• Basic knowledge of Data warehouse, relational and non-relational database solutions.
• Basic knowledge of UNIX/LINUX (Red Hat) RH 7.x.
• Google BigQuery knowledge.
• Good knowledge of Hadoop Cloudera Data Platform (CDP).
• Basic knowledge of GIT.
• Basic knowledge of Cloud Solutions (GCP).

Work Environment:

Hybrid on Wersalska 6 street (Twice a week work from the office - Łódź).
