Project

Were looking for a Data Engineer to join our clients team. The project involves the teams development of finance analytics solutions, leveraging Microsoft Azure for data warehousing, modelling, and reporting to support data-driven insights.



What Youll Be Doing

• Enabling new data source availability.
• Establishing API connections.
• Developing T-SQL code within the Snowflake DBT cloud infrastructure.
• Evolving the Databricks layer.
• Managing resources within the Fabric layer.
• Working on the overall development platform level to ensure scalability and efficiency.
• Creating and enhancing processes and tools for other development teams.

Expected competencies and skills

• Expertise in SQL (writing and optimizing complex queries; preferably in T-SQL or Snowflake dialects).
• Writing clean and self-documenting code.
• Practical knowledge of code version control (preferably Git).
• Experience with Azure DevOps (working with CI/CD pipelines, Repos and Boards).
• Experience with Azure Storage, Azure Databricks and Azure Data Factory.
• Practical knowledge of ETL and data warehousing concepts (preferably data lakehouses, medallion architecture, etc.).
• Experience in working with Power BI semantic models and Power BI reports.
• Good knowledge of DAX language and its usage in tabular models.
• Experience with dbt core.
• Nice to have experience working with SAP data.
• Experience in working with infrastructure as a code (Terraform) (nice to have).
• Experience working in a sharing culture.
• Capable of quickly adapting to regular changes in technical environment.
• Ability to work independently on assigned tasks.
• Pro-active approach and taking ownership of assigned responsibilities.
• Creativity.
