About the project
In Cyclad we work with top international IT companies in order to boost their potential in delivering outstanding, cutting-edge technologies that shape the world of the future. We are seeking a highly experienced Data Engineer to join a remote development team With solid experience in Backend Engineer to build a scalable data pipeline from scratch. The project is in its early architecture phase, so we are looking for someone independent and proactive to deliver end-to-end solutions. Youll join a fast-growing international team leveraging hardware and software to transform physical spaces with data-driven insights.

Budget: b2b 20 000 - 22 000 net PLN / month
Project length: 6 months with possible extension
Only candidates with citizenship in the European Union and residence in Poland
Start date: ASAP (depending on candidates availability)
Your responsibilities
- Create scalable data pipelines and real-time processing solutions
- Shape the projects data architecture from the beginning
- Bring together data from a variety of sources (sensor data, e-commerce, weather feeds, third-party APIs)
- Work with Data Science specialists to operationalize predictive models, such as traffic and occupancy forecasting
- Prepare the groundwork for future adoption of Apache Flink for streaming processing
- Maintain high standards for data quality, security, and performance within a GCP-based setup
Our requirements
- At least 4-5 years in Data Engineering and background in backend engineering (e.g., Typescript, system design)
- Very strong Python programming skills and hands-on ETL experience
- Practical knowledge of GCP components such as BigQuery, Pub/Sub, and Dataflow (or equivalent tools)
- Experience consuming external APIs and integrating diverse data sources
- Readiness to work with Apache Flink
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and high communication skills
- Good command of written and spoken English and Polish
Optional
- Experience with ML or AI projects
- Working with IoT data or event-driven systems
- Familiarity with workflow orchestration tools (Airflow, Prefect).
- Consulting experience.

Personal data provided by the candidate related to:

Personal data may be disclosed to employees or associates of the Company, entities providing support to the Company on the basis of outsourced services or in accordance with data processing agreements, to entities authorized under the law, as well as to entities collaborating with the Company within the scope of job placement, in order to conduct recruitment processes. Submission of the candidate’s personal data within the scope under Art. 221 of the Labor Code is obligatory for participation in the recruitment process. Submission of other data by the candidate is voluntary. No submission of personal data within the required scope or objection to the processing of
such data shall result in lack of possibility to include the Application in the recruitment processes conducted by the Company.
The candidate has the right to access and rectify the contents of their data, remove such data, limit its processing, transfer such data, submit objection to the processing and revoke the consent at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of the processing conducted under such consent before it was
withdrawn. The candidate also has the right to file a complaint with the President of the Office for Personal Data Protection when they consider the processing of their personal data to be a violation of the provisions of the GDPR.
