As a Data Engineer, you will play a key role in providing a trusted self-service data analysis capability for business decision makers & data specialists by building & operating VGW’s data platforms.

When it comes to Learning and Development:
In terms of our tech stack, we host our docker containerized apps on AWS in EKS Kubernetes. In the containers, we run Kotlin on the JVM. TypeScript runs our client side where it’s mostly React. Our databases is DynamoDB with Snowflake as our Data warehouse.

,[Build and operate scalable data platforms and pipelines, ingesting structured and unstructured data from multiple internal and external sources., Design and develop data pipelines using modern DevOps practices and cloud-native data warehouse and data lake technologies., Integrate with third-party APIs to ingest and deliver data in a reliable, performant and secure way., Ensure data platform reliability and quality by understanding and monitoring SLAs, SLOs and SLIs., Apply appropriate controls to support security, privacy and regulatory requirements, reducing operational risk., Enable self-service analytics by working closely with analysts to surface data for reporting and visualisation., Analyse raw and curated data to understand business problems, and help propose potential causes and solutions., Collaborate with senior engineers and stakeholders to break down features, manage risks and deliver effective solutions aligned with both short- and long-term business needs.
