Data Engineer – Regulatory Reporting (Axiom Platform) – Nasdaq

The Role

We’re looking for a Data Engineer to join our team, reporting to Director – Software Engineering. In this role, you’ll help shape how we develop and maintain the risk management and Basel reporting related products. You’ll fit right in if you have an analytical mindset, love working across teams and time zones, and get energy from tackling challenges that make an impact on a global scale.

What You’ll Do

  • Design, configure, and maintain data transformation flows using the Axiom ControllerView platform.
  • Translate functional specifications into technical design and data logic.
  • Collaborate with business analysts, developers, and QA teams to ensure accurate and timely delivery of regulatory reports.
  • Optimize and support data modeling and transformation flows for performance and scalability.
  • Participate in code reviews, testing, and documentation to maintain quality and compliance.

What You’ll Bring

  • Proven experience in software development or data engineering, supported by a degree in computer science, mathematics, or finance.
  • Proficiency in SQL and a strong understanding of relational database concepts.
  • Ability to design and implement complex data transformation logic with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Strong problem‑solving skills paired with attention to detail for high‑quality results.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills to work effectively across teams.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in the financial services or regulatory technology (RegTech) sector.
  • Exposure to Python, Java, or scripting languages.
  • Familiarity with AxiomSL ControllerView or similar regulatory reporting platforms.

This position will be located in Wrocław and offers the opportunity for a hybrid work environment at least 3 days a week in‑office, subject to change, providing flexibility and accessibility for qualified candidates.
