The role primarily supports the Protect and Unlock pillars of the Strategy.


The principal accountability of the role holder is to manage the investment governance for DAO Delivery & Portfolio management.



What you’ll do:


  • Investment governance including planning, prioritisation, and endorsement.
  • Support the DAO delivery demand management process - working with DAO and tech teams to assess demand and feed into the prioritisation process.
  • Work hand in hand with the leadership, in Quarterly Planning and Change Control processes.
  • Manage financial related data in the systems, reporting, synthesizing, and proposing data driven solutions.
  • Oversee and coordination of business cases, cost allocation method interlock oversight.
  • Manage and updating portfolio documentation, process documents and information sources.
  • Support the adoption of HSBC standards and work in alignment with HSBC change methodology.
  • Encourage individuals to collaborate with colleagues beyond their own business areas, influence cross-functional team and the performance of individuals and teams, to build a sense of community.
  • Create an environment where high standards are expected, regularly achieved, and appropriately rewarded, encourages, and supports continual improvements within the team based on ongoing feedback.




What you need to have to succeed in this role:


  • 5 or more years experience
  • Experience in implementing portfolio and project management methodologies and best practice techniques in global enterprise environment.
  • Strong financial management skills a must.
  • Superior problem solving and analytical skills including the ability to synthesize results and connect key points across topics.
  • Excellent technical expertise in Microsoft Office - Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Working knowledge of GDPM and Cognos will be an asset.
  • Experience in working with senior stakeholders across multiple regions and functions.
  • Ability to establish and leverage cross functional relationships to help drive project governance, execution, and closure.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
