The position will have the primary responsibility to ensure that Analytics provides assistance to our key stakeholders in understanding, (a) Model Limitations, (b) Off-System Valuations and Computing Tools and (c) Valuation Consultancy.


Members of this team work closely with a number of Product Control teams, Front Office quantitative groups, system developers, Market Risk Management and QRVG Model Review.



What you’ll do

  • Undertake various quantitative and non-quantitative work, such as running analysis, testing tools and interacting with external teams to assist with specific projects
  • Work closely with colleagues in the Analytics function, onshore Analytics teams and stakeholders.
  • Communicate effectively with people at various levels of seniority and different backgrounds in a challenging but collegiate environment.
  • Need to be analytical and be able to investigate and follow through on issues as they arise.
  • Problem solving - investigation of queries and issues as well as longer term strategic objectives.
  • Regular contact with project stakeholders.
  • Regular involvement in multiple projects across different locations globally, often simultaneously.
  • Continuously reassess the operational risks associated with the role and inherent in the business, taking account of changing economic or market conditions, legal and regulatory requirements, operating procedures and practices, management restructurings, and the impact of new technology.



What you need to have to succeed in this role

  • Master’s degree in a numerical subject (Maths, Physics, Engineering or similar) or a Business Degree
  • Excellent written English and oral communication skills. The job holder will have daily contact with the Front Office and QRVG Senior Management and therefore require excellent communication skills in addition with outstanding technical ones.
  • Strong analytical skills and a proactive approach to problem solving
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ambitious, driven and enthusiastic
  • Strong derivatives knowledge is essential.
  • Familiarity with programming skills such as VBA, C++ and understand basic programming, database and logical relationships.
  • Experience of working in a quantitative team or in a relevant highly technical role or a valuations/risk role is a positive.
