The Data Analyst would be particularly responsible for:
- As a part of Equity Quants team, you will analyze large data sets and create exhibits (charts, tables etc.) that can be used to present the results of analysis (Python/SAS/Excel) for research papers published by the team,
- Create and maintain databases using data from different sources,
- Provide seamless support on ad hoc data and analytics related requests,
- Identify and exploit new patterns in data using various techniques like machine learning,
- Conduct analysis, draw insights and present findings to clients.
Skills required:
- Good Programming skills: Python,
- Data manipulation-financial engineering using python packages like pandas, NumPy,
- Bloomberg and/or FactSet experience is a plus,
- Basic finance industry knowledge is desirable,
- Advanced Excel skills and VBA, including the ability to work with large and complex databases,
- Excellent attention to detail,
- Proactive, organized, and able to work with various teams,
- Possess broad understanding of data research, collection, and aggregation,
- Strong communication skills with proven ability to interact with global clients,
- Good problem-solving skills and should be able to resolve issues with little input,
- Producing well-formatted exhibits like charts and tables, based on the results of analysis, in an efficient and automated manner,
- Diligence and hard work.
