Cyber Security Engineer

We are seeking a skilled and highly motivated Cyber Engineers to join the growing cybersecurity team. You will be responsible for developing, deploying, and maintaining secure infrastructure, systems, and applications. You will play a critical role in driving innovation, enforcing security standards, and ensuring the integrity of our organisation39s technology landscape. This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned cybersecurity professional with a strong technical background.

Key Responsibilities:

Technical Oversight & Security Architecture:
Design, build, and implement security solutions across our infrastructure, networks, and applications.
Ensure Cyber Stack is fully deployed and constantly expanding capabilities.
Create integrations of security tools and technologies into existing systems and workflows.

Collaboration & Cross-Functional Support:
Provide timely and effective support for security-related projects and initiatives.
Be part of a rotation on-call system to support the business 24/7.

Research & Innovation:
Stay current on industry trends, emerging threats, and new security technologies.
Evaluate and recommend new tools, technologies, and processes that enhance the security posture of the organisation.

Reporting & Compliance:
Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and internal policies.
Contribute to audits, security assessments, and reporting for senior leadership.

Qualifications

Experience:
5+ years of experience in cybersecurity.
Hands-on experience with security technologies such as firewalls, IDS/IPS, endpoint protection.
In-depth knowledge of common security frameworks (e.g., NIST, CIS, ISO 27001) and regulatory standards (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, PCI DSS).
Strong experience with cloud security, including AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
Proven experience in securing enterprise applications and infrastructure, as well as threat mitigation and response strategies.

Technical Skills:
Strong knowledge of network security protocols, encryption, and secure communications.
Experience with scripting and automation (e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell).
Familiarity with security tools.

Education & Certifications:
Bachelor39s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related field (or equivalent experience).
Relevant industry certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, CompTIA Security+, or AWS Certified Security Speciality are preferred.

Soft Skills:
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Strong interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to motivate and inspire teams.
Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
