Cyber Security Data Protection Senior Consultant

Location: Katowice - 2 days office / 3 days remote

Join EY GDS Poland – a member of the global integrated service delivery center network – as a Senior Consultant in the Data Protection and Privacy team. In this role, you will help clients protect themselves against the evolving Data Protection landscape and support global projects across various sectors and regions.

Key Responsibilities

• Help clients define technical and business requirements for data protection solutions.
• Develop and advise on business processes and policies related to controlling access to data.
• Implement and support data protection products and solutions, including Enterprise DLP, Data Discovery, Data Classification, Digital Rights Management, Cloud DLP/Cloud Access Security Brokers, Tokenization, and file/database encryption.
• Identify high‑value assets, create data classification schemes, standards, and guidelines, and implement technologies to provide leading data protection capabilities.
• Deliver quality client services, manage risk, and keep key stakeholders informed of progress and expected outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 3‑5 years of related work experience.
• Knowledge of general security concepts such as vulnerability assessments, data classification, privacy assessments, incident response, security policy creation, enterprise security strategies, architecture, and governance.
• Basic understanding of networking (TCP/IP, OSI model), operating system fundamentals (Windows, UNIX, mainframe), security technologies (firewalls, IDS/IPS, etc.), and application programming/scripting languages (C, Java, Perl, Shell).
• Demonstrated experience in at least three of the following areas:
  • Data leakage/content monitoring and filtering
  • Cloud DLP
  • CASB
  • Secure messaging/email encryption
  • Mobile device security
  • Disk, file, device, and database encryption
  • Key management/Public Key Infrastructure (PKI)
  • Data classification and privacy policies
  • Digital Rights Management (DRM)
  • Secure information storage

Ideal Additional Qualifications

The successful candidate may hold or be willing to pursue professional certifications such as SC‑400, DLP Administration, Cloud Security, CASB.
