Lead, Inspire, and Drive Excellence with Maersk in Warsaw!

Are you ready to join an organization on an industry‑defining journey? Maersk is a global business with 100,000 employees in 130 countries. Our Global Service Centres (GSC) form the heart of our operations and are already established in 12 locations across 7 countries. We will soon open our newest GSC in central Warsaw, supporting our growing customer base and commitment to operational excellence.

As a member of our GSC you will bring your skills and expertise to a dynamic environment, gaining cross‑functional, end‑to‑end customer support experience, engaging in complex problem‑solving with global colleagues, and being at the centre of our global logistics operations.

We welcome you in a diverse and inclusive culture, working alongside a team of more than 2,200 trade and customs experts worldwide. You will be valued for who you are and rewarded for what you bring.

About the Role

We are seeking a Customs Team Leader to join our growing team. In this role you’ll lead and develop a team of 13 customs professionals, ensuring smooth and compliant customs operations. You’ll build strong relationships within your team and with key stakeholders, fostering a high‑performance culture. Through coaching, mentoring, and structured development initiatives you’ll help your team reach its full potential while keeping operations efficient and effective.

As a leader you’ll take ownership of setting objectives, managing KPIs and continuously improving productivity. You’ll shape the way we work, drive performance improvements, implement best practices, and keep our processes aligned with Maersk’s global strategy. When challenges arise you’ll be the problem‑solver—collaborating with different teams, identifying solutions, and escalating critical issues proactively. Change and innovation are key to our success; you’ll play an important role in ensuring new processes, technologies and automation initiatives are successfully implemented within your team.

Required Qualifications

  • Customs leadership experience, preferably in a logistics or customs environment.
  • Continuous improvement mindset with a strong analytical approach.
  • Ability to work independently under pressure, managing deadlines and multiple priorities.
  • Collaborative leader who builds strong relationships across teams and stakeholders.
  • Fluency in English and excellent communication skills.
  • Process‑driven mindset focused on quality, efficiency and structured operations.
  • Experience working in a matrixed organization with a strategic, problem‑solving approach.

If you hold a customs certification or have worked in a large multinational organization, that would be a great advantage.
