Our GSC sites are established across 12 locations in 7 countries – and we are still growing. We are opening our newest GSC in central Warsaw, supporting our growing customer base and commitment to operational excellence.

Our new GSC offers a great opportunity for motivated professionals to bring their skills and expertise to a dynamic environment where they can gain cross-functional, end-to-end customer support experience, engage in complex problem-solving with global colleagues, and be at the centre of our global logistics operations. Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of customs professionals (example: 13 team members) to ensure smooth and compliant customs operations.
• Build strong relationships within the team and with key stakeholders, fostering a positive, high-performance culture.
• Coach, mentor, and implement structured development initiatives to help the team reach its full potential while maintaining efficient operations.
• Own setting objectives, managing KPIs, and driving productivity improvements.
• Shape the way we work by driving performance improvements, implementing best practices, and aligning processes with Maersk’s global strategy.
• Act as a problem-solver when challenges arise, collaborating with different teams, identifying solutions, and escalating critical issues with a proactive mindset.
• Lead change and innovation, ensuring successful implementation of new processes, technologies, and automation within the team.

Qualifications

• Leadership experience in customs, logistics, or a similar environment (customs leadership experience is preferred within logistics or a customs environment).
• Continuous improvement mindset with a strong analytical approach.
• Ability to work independently under pressure, manage deadlines and multiple priorities.
• Collaborative leader who builds strong relationships across teams and stakeholders.
• Fluency in English with excellent communication skills.
• Process-driven mindset focused on quality, efficiency, and structured operations.
• Experience working in a matrixed organization with a strategic, problem-solving approach.
• Holding a customs certification or experience in customs operations is advantageous.
