Credit Controller

We are looking for a Credit Controller fluent in German. As a Credit Controller you will be accountable for day‑to‑day support of credit management and collections, maximising cash collection, minimising credit risk, and maintaining audit standards for the business.

You will protect and maximise the company’s investments through effective management of your own sales ledger and coordinate outstanding collections to minimise aged items. You will promote excellent customer service with a proactive, solution‑focused approach, and work through unallocated cash queries with the collections team to resolve accounts. Most internal and external communications are in English; you must also be able to communicate in German (written and oral).

What You Will Be Doing

• Support the business receivables by reviewing old balances and investigating.
• Ensure fraud risk, credit risk, and trade compliance risks are managed per business specifications, identify, monitor, and communicate risks, and resolve issues.
• Compile, analyse, and interpret information to facilitate the approval of credit facilities or make recommendations.
• Recommend process improvements and support the credit management team with testing and rollout of new or changed processes.
• Ensure company compliance and audit requirements, including Credit Management Policy and DOAM, are met.
• Review orders on hold and release where possible.
• Case management for your allocated ledger, ensuring queries are actioned or referred within a timely manner.
• Provide support to others in the Credit Control team for incoming cases, held orders, absence cover, and ad‑hoc duties.

What We Are Looking For

• Fluent English and German, both spoken and written.
• Credit control experience in a B2B environment.
• Resilience and ability to adapt in a changing strategic environment.
• Experience handling multiple currencies.
• Understanding of sales ledgers and their impact on the wider business.
• Professional communication at all levels.
• Ability to prioritise own workload and cover others when needed.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• IT literacy, experience with cloud‑based CRM platforms is an advantage.
