Overview
Creative Strategist (Performance & Brand) at Kensui, focused on how Kensui shows up across content. This is not a “post daily reels” role — it is a thinking role with creative execution. You’ll translate product intent into content systems that scale.
Responsibilities
- Create video concepts, hooks, and frameworks
- Brief and direct creators, editors, and UGC contributors
- Maintain visual and tonal consistency across platforms
Who You Are
- You think in first principles, not trends
- You understand how content influences buying behavior
- You can explain why a hook works in one sentence
- You have taste — and can defend it
- You’ve worked with DTC, premium, or engineered products
Required Experience
- Proven content strategy for DTC or performance brands
- Strong understanding of short-form video
- Experience working with creators or editing teams
- Ability to write clear briefs and scripts
Light Video Editing (Required)
The Creative Strategist should be able to:
- Edit short-form video well enough to ship ideas quickly
- Assemble rough cuts, hooks, and concept tests
- Add basic text overlays, cuts, and pacing
- Communicate clearly with professional editors using examples
This role is not expected to do final-polish edits full-time — but you should be capable of turning an idea into a working creative without handoff friction.
