The Role
We’re looking for a Creative Strategist to join our performance marketing team with a heavy focus on Meta paid social. The role requires strong experience in direct‑response creative, deep understanding of buyer psychology, and the ability to work at pace. You’ll collaborate closely with our Performance Marketing Manager, designers, video editors, and UGC creators, and will also contribute to landing page strategy, brand creative direction, organic social content, and website messaging—though the core of the role is paid advertising performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop high‑performing ad concepts, hooks, angles, and scripts for Meta paid campaigns.
- Write persuasive direct‑response copy (short‑form and long‑form).
- Analyse winning ads, competitor angles, creative trends, and performance data to guide new iterations.
- Write detailed creative briefs for designers, video editors and UGC creators.
- Test, iterate and optimise creatives based on performance data.
- Apply direct‑response principles and proven frameworks (AIDA, PAS, etc.) to ensure ads convert at scale.
- Follow winning structures rather than reinventing for creativity’s sake.
- Present weekly creative performance reports with clear recommendations.
- Maintain and improve creative pipeline, briefs and internal processes.
Supporting Responsibilities
- Contribute to landing page messaging and structure for paid campaigns.
- Provide creative direction for website content and product pages.
- Guide organic social content strategy to support broader brand goals.
- Ensure creative consistency across the customer journey.
What We’re Looking For
- 2+ years experience in direct‑response creative strategy for DTC e‑commerce (agency, brand or freelance).
- Strong background in Meta Ads, especially in high‑volume creative environments.
- Proven experience writing detailed creative briefs for creative teams.
- Ability to analyse ad performance data and translate insights into actionable creative direction.
- Strong copywriting skills with understanding of direct‑response frameworks.
- Deep understanding of DTC consumer psychology and scroll‑stopping principles.
- Experience collaborating with designers, video editors, and UGC creators.
- Highly data‑driven mindset. You prioritise performance over creative preference.
- Clear, fluent English communication skills (written and verbal).
- Ability to work independently, manage deadlines and take ownership.
Nice to Have
- Experience in health, wellness, supplements or beauty brands.
- Experience with UGC casting or managing creators.
- Familiarity with tools like Meta Ad Library, Triple Whale, Foreplay, Motion.
- Landing page optimisation or CRO experience.
- Basic video editing skills (CapCut, Premiere or similar).
