Creative & Product Development Executive
• Hybrid work model: 2-3 days from the office
• Client: A global media and entertainment company delivering premium content across television, film, streaming, and gaming. It operates a diverse portfolio of well-known brands and franchises, reaching audiences worldwide through storytelling, creativity, and innovation.
• Scope: This role serves as the creative and product development lead for the Polish market. The person in this position will be responsible for reviewing all designs and products submitted by Polish partners, following the standard product development and approval process. The role plays a key part in ensuring that fresh, innovative, and exciting graphic content and product designs are consistently developed, while also ensuring that licensees deliver strong, market‑ready products that best reflect the company’s brand presence at retail. All submissions featuring company‑owned properties — such as characters from superhero franchises, fantasy worlds, or theatrical releases — are reviewed within contractually defined timelines to ensure they meet brand guidelines and product standards. A strong understanding of these properties, combined with design expertise, helps contribute to overall revenue growth. The role also includes working on high‑priority design projects and pitch materials tailored specifically to the Polish market. Keeping up with global and local trends in product and design is essential, and this knowledge should be used to inspire and guide partners in creating locally relevant and compelling materials. Additionally, the position involves participating in research initiatives with the wider Creative & Product Development team to stay informed about the competitive landscape and maintain a strong creative edge.
Responsibilities:
- Provide creative concept, design and product development support, working with internal stakeholders and external clients to accurately complete assigned briefs.
- Review samples and designs to ensure all submissions meet the brand guidelines and legal requirements.
- Acts as the brand ambassador on all product submissions making decisions based on whether the product is in line with brand strategy, creative strategy, and product quality standards.
- Approves or rejects based on the creative standard and legal guidelines set.
- With knowledge of the manufacturing process and a knowledge of company’s policies and procedures and brand guidelines, reviews and provides detailed comments on concept, pre‑production, and final samples submitted by licensees on items including product, packaging, TV commercials, point of sale.
- Maintains a one‑on‑one relationship with licensee counterparts, as well as designers etc. to ensure understanding and a smooth working approval process. Where necessary obtains all necessary third‑party approvals.
- Works hand in hand with Category Leads in Product Design area including joint planning.
- Suggests and creates trend‑driven propositions in line with category strategy when a gap in the portfolio or licensee need is identified.
What skills you will need:
Work Experience Graduate with experience in Graphic Design/Product development within the licensing industry or retail environment. Retail, merchandising, art development, or overseas manufacturing/sourcing experience are all beneficial.
- Minimum 5 years experience in licensing, product development, design or manufacturing/sourcing.
- Experience of the Polish retail market, trends and nuances.
- Experience creating graphic design and POV boards for licensed merchandise.
- Experience desired of working across multiple licensing categories.
- Design Degree or qualification preferred.
Knowledge/Skills
- Polish language essential with good knowledge of English.
- Strong Working Knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and In‑Design.
- Solid PC Skills: Windows, Microsoft Word and Excel required.
- Ability to absorb and respond quickly to given information.
- Capacity to learn company guidelines relating to intellectual property and distinguish different art styles in order to accurately log and review submissions.
- Understanding of art production and manufacturing processes, or willingness to develop knowledge in this area.
- Strong attention to detail and an artistic eye.
- Good spelling, grammar, punctuation, and language skills.
- Ability to sift through information and identify priorities.
- Professional approach when working with departments, licensees, and all levels of management.
- Strong team player with experience in international organizations.
