Job Description:
The Corporate Finance Analyst supports the corporate financial planning and analysis function by collaborating with the project finance team to gather project-level financial details, enhancing the financial systems capabilities and the BI tools to increase project financial visibility to all internal stakeholders.
RESPONSIBILITIES
More specifically, the Corporate Finance Analyst must:
Month-End Deliveries, and Core FP&A Deliverables
- Support the Director of FP&A in successful and on-time delivery of management deck that highlights monthly financial results, obtaining and summarizing key business performance indicators (i.e., backlog analysis, market research).
- Lead variance reporting analyses for all profit centers / cost centers of Innovaderm, generating and analyzing cost spend patterns, identifying root causes of deviations, and developing action plans to meet budget/forecast.
- Lead business insights such as ETC/EAC review and HPI analysis under the guidance of Lead, PFA and Director of FP&A.
- Support the Director of FP&A in the successful delivery of quarterly forecasts and annual budgets, contributing to timelines, data consolidation, and presentation decks.
- Perform other financial health checks as required under the guidance of Director, FP&A.
Technological Tools and Maintenance/Enhancements of Reports
- Create new Power BI (PBI) reports and perform regular data checks to ensure accuracy and compliance with access rules.
- Enhance reporting structures under the guidance of Director, FP&A, continuously seeking improvements via Power BI.
- Work with the BI Team to implement best practices.
- Collaborate with external consultants for troubleshooting and technical solutions.
Business Partnership
- Work with the operations group (project management team, and clinical operations team) to facilitate information exchange and ensure accurate project details and financials.
- Gather macro-level information on the current financial health of projects and advise PFAs on remedial actions.
- Optimize data presentation structures, reporting mechanisms, and workflows/access rules to ensure visibility for all internal stakeholders.
Ad-hoc and Special Projects
- Conduct ad-hoc reporting and analyses to evaluate business status and create forward-looking statements.
- Perform other ad-hoc duties assigned by the Director as needed.

Work location
The successful candidate for this position is given to work remotely anywhere in Poland. Employees located outside of North America are expected to have some flexibility in their working hours to accommodate team or client meetings as needed.

PROFILE
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or relevant experience
- CPA designation is an asset but not required.
Experience
- 5 years of experience in project accounting preferred, but not required
Knowledge and skills
- Excellent knowledge of spoken and written English
- Professional judgment and proven interpersonal skills
- Excellent command of the tools of the Microsoft Office suite, prior Power BI knowledge and experience will be of an asset
- Comfortable working in an environment in constant evolution
- Good knowledge of good clinical practices, and applicable Health Canada and Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations/guidelines.
