Summary of Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and driving public communications strategies/campaigns to promote SHEIN’s corporate profile, as well as safeguarding the company’s reputation among external stakeholders in Poland. He/she is also responsible for fostering strategic partnerships with key media and public stakeholders in the country.
In this role, the candidate will work with various teams across the business, including Government Relations, Legal, Marketing, Logistics, and others to develop and execute communications strategies to advance SHEIN’s corporate interests in Poland.
The successful candidate should possess a deep interest and ability to understand how politics, business, retail, sustainability, technology and innovation, as well as international relations are interconnected.
Job Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver communication strategies and media campaigns to protect and enhance SHEINs corporate reputation in Poland.
- Build and maintain relationships with journalists, media outlets, and other key public contacts, at both working level and senior level.
- Implement tools and strategies to monitor evolving trends in media coverage and public discussion, and provide regular reports with clear analysis and recommendations.
- Coordinate day-to-day media enquiries and ensure accurate, timely responses to requests.
- Write and manage company communications materials to strengthen SHEINs visibility and reputation.
- Oversee the work of the companys PR agency, ensuring agreed objectives are met.
- Represent SHEIN in media and public forums as needed.
- Plan and run social responsibility programmes in cooperation with internal teams and external partners.
- Serve as lead in responding to potential issues and crises, including devising and managing crisis communications strategies and guiding the companys responses to sensitive matters.
- Support senior management in preparing for public speaking and media interviews.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Degree in Communications, Media, Journalism, Public Relations or related fields
- At least 8 years of experience in corporate communications or public relations
- Strong track record in developing and implementing external corporate communication strategies/campaigns, including experience working for high profile brands.
- Excellent understanding the Polish media landscape, as well as strong top-tier media relations network with business, consumer and/or technology journalists and editors.
- Excellent writing, presentation and communication skills
- Good knowledge and experience in digital media tools/platforms
- Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills
- Ability to multi-task and have exceptional attention to detail while operating in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
- Strong proficiency in Polish and English.
