Control Systems Engineer at Air Liquide

Responsibilities
- Definition of the units control strategy in accordance with the input data (contract, process, environment, etc.), including the Safety SIL segregation (BPCS/SIS/ESD)
- Participation in the definition of BPCS / SIS Architecture system and package monitoring
- Marchelling Architecture / PLC, MODIN Architecture, Remote I/O Panel (RIOP) Architecture, Cybersecurity Requirements
- Participation in the System Engineering Design (Hard & Soft)
- HAZOP, I/O List, I/O Assignment, Plant Interfaces
- Layout Drawing of system component, Control Room & Technical Room Layout
- Supervision Screens definition, HMI Control definition, Installation rules
- Participation in the system Procurement phase, Technical Requisition Package, BID Clarification phase up to Purchase order
- Ensure compliance with the contract (scope) and specifications (if applicable)
- Participation in VENDOR PACKAGES clarifications (Machines, etc.) and validation Post Order documentation
- Participation in the Factory and Site Acceptance Tests (FAT, SAT) for hardware and software for BPCS and SIS systems
- Coordination of the Package Units, interfaces to other disciplines, client and vendors
- Deliverables: Control BPCS/SIS Architecture, I/O List & I/O Assignment, Control room & Technical Room Layout, Validation of exchange tables between Main control system and third Part, Validation of detail drawings systems cabinets and Servers & Networks Cabinets, Functional Analysis/ Logic Diagram Interpretation, FAT (Factory Acceptance Test) system for Hardware, Software & Cybersecurity Parts, Functional Analysis / Vendor doc update after FAT/SAT
Qualifications
- At least 10 years of experience in a similar role in the oil & gas industry
- Knowledge of VISIO, Autocad, Smartplant Instrumentation (SPI), office and Google suite
- Experience with Yokogawa BPCS/SIS Architecture (Material & Software – Centum VP & Prosafe RS)
- Experience with Emerson BPCS/SIS Architecture (Material & Software – DELTA V)
- Knowledge of Siemens PLC, SCADA interfaces, I/O Cards, Controllers, CPU, etc.
- Familiarity with Communication Protocols & Architectures (MODBUS, PROFINET, OPC, …)
- Understanding of Cybersecurity of Industrial Plants
- English – very good speaking and writing
