The Opportunity: This role sits within the Indirect Procurement Delivery group, which covers Roche’s Indirect Procurement activities including category management, strategic and operational sourcing, supplier management, contracting, content strategy definition, and execution.

As a Contracts Manager in Facilities & Engineering, you will bring in-depth contract drafting, negotiation skills, and general understanding of applicable laws, policies and regulations to the procurement contract management and advisory capability area. You will collaborate with procurement and business stakeholders, supporting their contracting needs by providing tools, templates, playbooks, advice and counsel, and assistance with mid-complex drafting and negotiating.

You will partner with various internal stakeholders, including Legal, Privacy, Tax, Drug Safety, Regulatory and Insurance to ensure contracts, tools, templates, playbooks, and positions are in line with legal requirements, Roche policies, and company needs.

• You are a contracting knowledge and subject matter specialist in Facilities & Engineering providing specialist input, advice, assistance, and know-how with complex scientific, commercial and/or technical contract drafting and negotiating activities
• You are a contract drafter and negotiator - using functional, technical, and/or operational expertise to interpret, draft and negotiate complex scientific, commercial and/or technical contracts
• You develop contracts "Best Practices" and advocate contributing to the development, improvement, and delivery of templates, playbooks, and training to procurement, the business, and other stakeholders

Who you are:

• You hold a university degree, preferably in law
• You have 7+ years relevant experience or fewer with 3+ years of legal credentials
• You have Legal and Compliance subject matter expertise with extensive delegation of authority
• You demonstrate curiosity, active listening and a willingness to experiment and test new ideas when appropriate, with the focus very much on continuous learning and improvement
• You are open-minded and inclusive, generously sharing ideas and knowledge, while being receptive to ideas and feedback from others
• You are fluent in English to a Business level
