The Contracts Analyst will support the drafting, review, and negotiation of international contracts, as assigned, in addition to providing analytical and procedural support to internal and external customers. This role is key to managing contracts and reporting in alignment with finance and business strategies and goals. The ability to multi-task and pay strong attention to detail in a high-volume, fast-paced environment is essential in this position. The individual would be available to work on site in our Warsaw, Poland office.

Essential Duties

  • Collaborate with legal, business teams, and the broader finance organization to draft, review and negotiate a variety of standard agreements and commercial contracts with vendors and customers.
  • Present and explain contract terms and conditions to business teams.
  • Act as a knowledge resource to the business teams in regard to current contracting policies, related governance, and processes.
  • Ability to interpret contracts and interface with vendors and third parties on contract issues. Partner closely with legal and leadership to ensure proper contracting escalation throughout review process and obtain all other required internal review and approvals for contract terms and provisions.
  • Partner to improve current business processes and develop new global processes to optimize effectiveness of the contracting team.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to maintain open and strong communication with internal employees and third parties.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and acts with discretion.

  • Maintain regular and reliable attendance.
  • Ability to lift up to 10 pounds for approximately 5% of a typical working day.
  • Ability to work on a mobile device, tablet, or in front of a computer screen and/or perform typing for approximately 90% of a typical working day.
  • Ability to travel 5% of working time away from work location, may include overnight/weekend travel.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Associates Degree in any field.
  • 2 years’ experience in drafting, reviewing and negotiating contracts.
  • In lieu of degree, High School Diploma/General Education Diploma and at least 4 years of drafting, reviewing and negotiating contracts.
  • Fluency or near-native language skills in English would be required, including fluency in German.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs, such as: Word and Outlook, as well as internet navigation.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform the Essential Duties of the position with or without accommodation.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in any field.
  • 4 years’ of direct experience drafting, reviewing and negotiating contract terms and conditions strongly preferred.
  • Experience in working with Category Management and/or legal teams.
  • Biotech or Life Science industry experience.
  • Knowledge of Coupa or similar spend management platform.
