About The Role

Are you a detail‑oriented professional with a passion for contracts and procurement? Join our dynamic team as a Contract Specialist, where youll play a pivotal role in managing construction and service contracts throughout the lifecycle of EPCM projects. From bid strategy to contract formation, your expertise will directly contribute to the successful execution of capital projects.

What Will You Do

As a Contract Specialist, you will be responsible for:

• Contributing to the contracting strategy within the Project Execution Plan (PEP)
• Supporting the Procurement Package Status Report (PPSR)
• Leading the bid process, including:
• Prequalifying and selecting bidders
• Preparing and issuing bid invitations
• Managing tender queries and issuing addenda
• Conducting bid openings and clarification meetings
• Coordinating technical and commercial evaluations
• Facilitating negotiations and award recommendations
• Reviewing and recommending contract terms and special conditions
• Preparing and issuing contracts for execution
• Issuing letters of regret to unsuccessful bidders

Essential

What you bring to the role:

• Proven experience in EPCM project environments, especially with capital projects
• Strong background in drafting and negotiating construction and service contracts
• Formal contracts/legal training
• Proficiency in commercial terms and understanding of legal implications
• Excellent negotiation skills
• Deep understanding of procurement processes and corporate governance
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to thrive in a team‑oriented environment

Preferred

• Relevant tertiary qualifications
• Additional legal training
• Experience working on large construction sites
