About the role

Drive insight-led shopper marketing and category growth for Colgate-Palmolive. You’ll lead shopper activation for a designated category, turning retail environment insights into high-impact programs that build volume, market share, and category health. You’ll partner closely with Consumer Marketing (Hub), Customer Development, and key retailers to bring brand plans to life in-store and online.

What you’ll do

  • Lead 5Ps strategy and execution by retail environment and customer for your category.
  • Translate brand strategies into annual activity grids, shopper programs, and Go-to-Market plans for new products.
  • Build shopper insights to guide RE innovation and customer collaboration; represent the retailer perspective in commercial planning.
  • Activate category growth drivers across customer plans and the RCD process.
  • Develop and optimize shopper marketing touchpoints, merchandising tools, and in-store programs to drive conversion.
  • Run pre/post analyses of promotions and recommend adjustments to improve ROI and trade spend effectiveness.
  • Conduct regular store checks and customer meetings; share findings with Hub Consumer Experience and local teams.
  • Support in-store execution excellence, including 5Ps communication to field and merchandising teams.
  • Partner on customer P&L inputs, margin improvement, and SKU simplification initiatives.
  • Contribute to budgeting, MYR, volume plans, and A&P/Gross-to-Net allocation for your category.
  • Support Retail Category Development with shopper-led solutions and breakthrough initiatives.

What you’ll bring

  • Experience in shopper marketing, category management, trade marketing, or customer development.
  • Strong grasp of the 5Ps, retail environments, and shopper touchpoint planning.
  • Analytical rigor with experience in promo evaluation and ROI optimization.
  • Excellent cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder management (Hub, CD, Finance, CS&L, Field).
  • Strong storytelling and presentation skills.

Measures of success

  • Delivery of category market share, Net Sales, Operating Profit, and margin improvement plans.
  • Improved ROI on shopper programs and trade spending.
  • Effective in-store execution and 5Ps compliance.

Travel and cadence

  • Approx. 15% travel.
  • At least one store check per month and one customer meeting per quarter; participate in customer category workshops.
