Role overview
The Consultant Supply chain Planning Functional Lead IT role will be the delivery partner with BRM (Business Relationship Manager) and Supply chain Planning leadership teams. This person is also responsible for supporting the cloning of Supply chain TSA applications for Vantive. This role will work with the Technical Lead as well as the 3rd Party system integrator to layout the timing and implementation of all cloned applications in this area. This partnership will enable the Supply chain planning function to achieve its goals, drive the greatest leverage of our technical investments, enable innovation, and maintain Vantive’s leadership position in the market.
This role will define and establish designs of all technical aspects of projects. This will require knowledge of business process operations to identify workable solutions and opportunities for improvement of current applications.
What you’ll do
- Identify, assess, and solve complex business problems for core Supply chain Planning applications and processes.
- Collaborate with Product Owner to manage the product backlog, prioritize projects and features based on impact and alignment with the team’s long-term goals and strategy.
- Integrate input from multiple channels, including customer research, industry research/best practices and stakeholder requirements, into product priorities and requirements.
- Responsible to create and maintain documentation, development standards and best practices, and help ensure that the platform is secure and compliant with applicable regulations.
- Ensure overall design is in line with Vantives global model, existing business rules, and is properly integrated with other applications/processes. Challenge whenever required, business requirements.
- Serve as product engineer for agile or SDLC based project team.
- Responsible to work with in-house application teams and third-party service providers to build knowledge and for resolving incidents.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with minimal supervision.
- Keep up with emerging technologies and develop new technical skills as needed by application.
- Develop Standard Operating Procedures to standardize tasks for consistency in operation.
- Communicate status, solutions, and concerns. Disseminate information in a timely manner within the team and across functions. Deliver presentations, facilitate, and address issues at all levels of management.
- Mentor, coach, and lead less experienced technical team members; facilitate the development of professional and technical skills for self and peer.
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field.
- 8+ years of experience in Information Systems, experience in ERP supply chain planning systems and software development methodologies preferably with experience in Supply chain areas of IT.
- 3 years of experience in project implementation related to Software as a Service (SaaS) applications preferably with KINAXIS Rapid Response.
- Strong understanding of Supply chain planning operations and processes and how technology can be leveraged. Extensive hands‑on experience in implementing solutions including Forecasting, Distribution requirement planning, MRP, Production and Inventory planning.
- Experience with ITSM Process; experience with ServiceNow or Jira is preferred.
- Strong understanding of integrating supply chain applications with other systems.
- Management of stakeholders and their expectations.
- Ability to work with cross‑functional matrixed teams to deliver on a common goal.
- Interpersonal skills and development of relationships with team members, peers, leaders, and customers.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a variety of business, data science and technical stakeholders.
- Strong working knowledge of lean product principles and software development lifecycle.
- Foundational project management skills (projects involving internal and external stakeholders) with ability to meet tight deadlines and prioritize workload.

- Effective communication skills – written and verbal.
