Overview
Construction Site Manager / Coordinator – Fire, BMS & Security Systems. Start Date: ASAP. Type: Contract / Freelance (Field-Based).
We are currently seeking an experienced Construction Site Manager / Coordinator to join a high-profile industrial construction project in Nysa, Poland. This is a field-based, hands-on role focused on the coordination and supervision of subcontractors delivering fire alarm, BMS (Building Management Systems), security, and electrical systems.
Youll work closely with project management and technical teams to ensure that site operations are running efficiently, safely, and in line with project schedules.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate daily activities across multiple specialist subcontractors (fire, BMS, security, and electrical trades)
- Ensure site readiness and clear workfronts for scheduled tasks
- Manage site access, permits, and enforce HSE compliance
- Monitor and report on-site progress, highlighting risks or delays
- Liaise with the client’s project team and internal stakeholders to align on objectives
- Maintain and update site documentation (permits, daily reports, snag lists)
- Ensure installation work is delivered to required standards and timelines
- Participate in daily coordination meetings and lead toolbox talks as needed
- Support the resolution of site-level technical or coordination issues
- Maintain a strong site presence to oversee daily execution and mitigate delays
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Site Manager, Site Coordinator, or Construction Supervisor on large-scale industrial or commercial projects
- Strong background working with fire detection, BMS, and security systems
- Familiar with construction site permit-to-work systems, safety documentation, and subcontractor workflows
- Ability to manage and prioritise multiple teams across disciplines
- Strong understanding of on-site safety practices and coordination processes
- Excellent communication skills in English (written and spoken)
- Polish language proficiency preferred (or willingness to work with local teams using translators where needed)
- Able to work full-time on-site in Nysa, Poland
- Experience in pharmaceutical, manufacturing, or other highly regulated environments
- Knowledge of Lean Construction principles or similar methodologies
- Technical background in MEP, automation, or electrical systems is a plus
- Familiarity with construction tracking tools or platforms (e.g., MS Project, Primavera)
