Job Purpose
Lead sustainability construction activities at a regional level and support execution of critical or underperforming projects. Provide expert sustainable and Construction knowledge and implement global processes at a regional level in line with business strategy and objectives, corporate guidelines and policies. Provide guidance to the Head of CRE CEE Construction on all Sustainable and Construction activities, future pipeline and improvement potentials. Deliver all level of sustainable and construction projects throughout the complete construction lifecycle and ensured delivery on time, budget to quality. Typically projects are: Express Hub or Gateway, Sorting Center or large Fit-Out.
Your tasks
- Deliver all levels of sustainable and construction projects throughout the complete construction lifecycle, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and to quality standards. Manage all necessary external parties involved.
- Develop and implement sustainability strategy for real estate in Poland.
- Liaise with business colleagues including business development, solutions design, operations, and finance teams to ensure solutions align with business requirements.
- Assess and propose sustainable technologies.
- Provide thorough market information to support real estate options.
- Negotiate the best outcome for transactions and present opportunities to business colleagues in standardized format for easy comparison.
- Manage projects from sourcing to handover, working with teams from Construction and Facilities Management as required.
- Work with stakeholders to finalize transactions, including Legal, Risk, and Procurement teams.
- Implement construction management plans and processes to ensure delivery of construction solutions and projects on time and within budget.
- Provide input for budget preparation and ensure budget control for construction projects.
- Consolidate data and provide analytics for underwriting and BCA approval processes, including financial modelling for developers and inputs for construction risk assessment.
- Prepare construction-related documents and approval papers.
- Implement financial controlling and budgeting under RES regional head / RES global controlling.
- Collect and analyze market and investment data.
- Support the contractor selection process by screening third parties such as contractors.
- Monitor performance and service standards of third-party construction firms engaged in the construction process.
- Support land expert in preparing documentation, performing due diligence analyses, and executing administrative tasks for land acquisition.
- Identify potential leads through portfolio refresh and other project-related tasks, such as consolidating data required for BCA and interfacing with BU functions to support RES BD.
- Prepare and report analysis/deliverables to RES team within timelines and quality standards.
- Resolve and analyze issues in day-to-day project delivery and implement practices for construction management focusing on increasing effectiveness and efficiency.
Your profile
- Master’s degree in Real Estate, Construction, Engineering, Architecture, or Environmental Sciences (focus on renewable technologies), or equivalent.
- 8+ years in construction, including at least 2 years in sustainability management.
- Fluent in Polish and English.
- Strong understanding of the Polish energy market and sustainability regulations.
- Sustainability strategy and energy efficiency technologies.
- Contract negotiation and management, budgeting, cost estimation, and scheduling.
- Project management, technical due diligence, and feasibility studies.
- Construction drawings, building specifications, industrial buildings, and building automation.
- Vendor and stakeholder management, presentation, and influencing skills.
- Compliance with construction safety and planning regulations.
