The Computer Vision Data Scientist will develop and deploy computer vision algorithms and systems for our cloud-based data analytics software product, Subterra. The Data Scientist will design and implement computer vision models using state-of-the-art techniques and frameworks. Considerable knowledge of computer vision algorithms, libraries, and tools, such as TensorFlow, OpenCV, or PyTorch is required.
What you will do:
- Work with the Subterra product manager to develop and refine existing algorithms,
- Work with a team that includes backend and frontend developers and QA analysts to create compelling software products for our customers,
- Participate in all aspects of software development: from estimating to scheduling, to implementation and then release.
Experience and skills you need to join us:
- Bachelors degree in computer science, Computer Vision, Machine Learning, or a related field,
- 5+ years of experience in developing computer vision systems, including hands-on implementation and deployment.
- 5+ years of experience developing APIs for stand-alone or cloud-based applications,
- 2+ years of experience with MS Azure, Amazon AWS or Google Cloud,
- 5+ years of experience working in Agile teams using Scrum,
- Strong Python Experience,
- Have an understanding of repo management, code release, testing and DevOps processes,
- Have good coding practices and software design approaches.
It would be great if you also have:
- 5+ years of experience with TensorFlow,
- Experience working with vSLAM (Visual Simultaneous Localization and Mapping),
- Structure from motion (sfm), photogrammetry, and openCV,
- Experience with Geographical Information Systems (GIS),
