Functional area: Legal / Compliance
Your future plans
- You will report to the Head of Compliance of Onshore, PV, Europe and Australia (OPEA) and will be responsible for topics such as anti-corruption, anti-money laundering and sanctions for the OPEA business in your region.
- Together with the OPEA Compliance team, you will develop and implement robust compliance strategies in alignment with the global compliance community.
- You actively develop and implement various types of training, documentation and processes and provide holistic and optimized operational advice, setting standards in the process.
- You independently assess compliance-relevant topics and issues of high complexity in your area of responsibility and also develop solutions and recommendations for action for the management and the operational business.
- You will lead and participate in large multidisciplinary national and international projects (including M&A), assess counterparty compliance risks and independently manage interdisciplinary interfaces.
- You should have successfully completed studies in the field of law, economics, social sciences or a comparable qualification, and have several years of professional experience in a law firm or consultancy, or in the legal or compliance department of a company, ideally (but not indispensable) in the energy industry.
- In addition to integrity and strong ethics and values, you should be able to think outside the box, enjoy creative processes, familiarize yourself quickly with topics and enjoy your work.
- You should have the ability to work independently as well as part of an international and interdisciplinary team.
- You should be able to consult stakeholders on an equal footing, deal with conflict and defend your own point of view when challenged by senior management.
- You should possess very good communication skills and master presentation and moderation techniques, and be able to translate complex issues into relevant messages and communicate them across all hierarchical levels of the organization.
- You should have an analytical mindset, understanding of strategic decision making and the ability to work accurately under pressure while always finding pragmatic solutions in a fast-paced international business environment.
- You should have experience in the management of external consultants.
- You should be fluent in Polish and English (oral and written); knowledge of other languages (especially German and/or other European languages) is an advantage.
