Your role in the Teams Success

We are looking for a Compliance Associate to join our Global Compliance Team. Reporting to the Compliance Manager, you will be based in Krakow and collaborate closely with Compliance teams worldwide. In this role, you will help resolve complex, time‑sensitive client disputes, mitigate risks and meet internal and external deadlines. You will also assist the broader team with compliance‑related tasks such as monitoring business areas, responding to inquiries and advising internal stakeholders.

What Youll Do

  • Conduct thorough investigations into client complaints, writing and sending formal responses within internal and external deadlines
  • Cooperate with FOS investigators and respond to requests for further information and evidence
  • Respond to compliance‑related queries and provide advice to internal stakeholders on compliance matters
  • Assist with the day‑to‑day administration of the global compliance inbox
  • Get involved in ad‑hoc requests and compliance project work, including the use of AI tools in compliance processes
  • Report the required MI internally and externally
  • Contribute to the transformation of the compliance function by identifying improvement opportunities and assisting in the development and implementation of regulatory, business, technology or cost‑driven changes
  • Perform compliance monitoring of various business lines/functions, identify control gaps, issue improvement recommendations and follow up until resolution
  • Monitor the Group’s compliance with relevant regulatory obligations, including the conduct of staff and adherence to appropriate processes and policies
  • Build and develop strong working relationships across Compliance teams, business owners, Risk and Internal Audit
  • Take responsibility for information exchange between Central Compliance Teams and local compliance offices, Risk and IA, providing timely and accurate information regarding significant compliance matters
  • Take an active part in knowledge sharing across the team, including training

Qualifications

  • Genuine interest in the compliance function and previous experience in Compliance, Audit, Internal Audit or Risk (preferably in FinTech or other financial institution)
  • Good understanding of financial markets and financial products
  • Awareness of FCA regulations and wider MiFID regulatory landscape
  • Sound knowledge of IG’s product suite (CFD, spread betting, investments) and platforms (advantage)
  • Ability to use internal systems such as Genesys, Internet Monitor, iVault, Salesforce (advantage)
  • Ability to cooperate with internal stakeholders and obtain critical information from different teams within the business
  • Fluency in both verbal and written English (knowledge of other European languages is an asset)
  • Inquisitive and analytical problem‑solving approach and ability to make decisions
  • Diplomatic, objective and impartial when evaluating scenarios
  • Excellent communication skills and strong relationships with team members, managers, and external parties
  • Self‑motivated, organized, flexible, open to change and detail‑oriented, accountable and able to meet strict deadlines
  • Contributes to departmental discussions and decisions with a continuous‑improvement mindset
