Meaningful Work From Day One

The Communications Specialist is a creative and detail‑oriented professional responsible for the day‑to‑day execution of internal communication activities that support Brown‑Forman’s business objectives. This role focuses on creating compelling, accurate, and timely content that keeps our employees informed, engaged, and connected to our mission and goals. While there is a strong emphasis on writing and content creation, the role will also support the production of infographics, videos, presentations, intranet content, and other formats in collaboration with digital, media, and design colleagues and external agency partners.

What You Can Expect

  • Content Creation & Delivery: Drafts, edits, formats, and distributes internal communications, such as emails, presentation scripts, talking points, Q&As, and intranet news articles, ensuring alignment with communications strategies set by Communications Leads and/or Director, Strategic Communications.
  • Stakeholder & Project Support: Provides execution support to the Communications Leads and Director, Strategic Communications, on key functional, commercial, and enterprise‑wide communications projects. Serves as the primary communications contact for key stakeholders on recurring communications, and acts as a flexible resource where communications demand surges.
  • Event Communications Support: Assists in the materials preparation, content development, and production coordination for internal events such as town halls and conferences.
  • Channel Execution: Serves as a primary contributor for the company’s intranet platform content management, storytelling, and content contributor training. Publishes and maintains content on the company intranet and schedules emails to ensure all information is current, accurate, and visually consistent.
  • Brand Stewardship: Applies B‑F Corporate and Employer Brand identity standards and guidelines (tone, voice, look, and feel) in all materials.

What You Bring To The Table

  • 1+ year of experience in a communications, content creation, or marketing role (relevant internships are considered)
  • Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills, with attention to detail
  • Demonstrated agility in applying communication skills to support and advance key business objectives and communications strategies.
  • Ability to manage multiple communication projects at once.
  • Ability to collaborate with internal and external partners effectively
  • Collaborative, open‑minded, and proactive approach with an interest in working in a multicultural environment
  • Fluent in English
  • Desire to learn, innovate, and grow as a communicator
  • Strong teamwork approach and mindset

What Makes You Unique

  • Bachelors degree in communications, journalism, or a related field
  • Experience with scriptwriting, digital, video, or other forms of communication
  • Experience with platforms such as Staffbase, Canva, Infogram, internal company intranets, etc.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft and Google Workplace tools
