The Role

The Operations team at Javelin manages the reconciliation, confirmation and settlement of commodity products within Javelin. Working with the Logistics team and traders, Operations ensure that risk is captured accurately, and the full lifecycle of the trade is supported effectively.

As the business continues to expand and grow, we are looking for a KYC Specialist to join the Operations team. Dynamic and always challenging, this role will complement the responsibilities of the other team members and work as part of the team to achieve the Operation Groups objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Providing support within the KYC team, maintaining up‑to‑date client records and performing periodic reviews
  • Gathering and analysing documentation and verifying details to ensure accurate records
  • Liaising with internal stakeholders to keep them up to on progress and issues
  • Conducting screening checks using third party tools to identify Sanctions, PEPs, and Adverse Media in relation to the entities and related parties subject to screening policies and procedure
  • Onboarding the customer to Javelins electronic KYC database precisely and conducting regular monitoring for any entities with unusual activity or regulatory requirements
  • Completing any documents requested by a company to onboard Javelin for business purposes with the help of different teams in the company where necessary

Requirements

  • We are looking for a self‑motivated, proactive candidate ideally with some KYC experience in Commodities Operations (e.g. an internship or junior position)
  • Degree in a STEM or Business‑related field
  • A strong work ethic is required to help drive the team forward and push for technology‑based solutions
  • Demonstrable organizational skills
  • Clear communication skills, both written and verbal in English and Polish
  • Ability to manage and prioritise workload and judge priority and urgency of requests and issues
  • Excellent attention to detail
