Commissioning Engineer (Waste-to-Energy Plant)

Place of work: Kassel/Ludwigshafen (Germany) --- rotation (4 weeks on site / 1 week home)

Type of contract: permanent/contract of employment

• Long-term experience in process plant commissioning (especially Waste-to-Energy plants)

Staff Tasks & Responsibilities during Cold Commissioning:

• System checks according to P&IDs and final as-built revision on site
• DCS & field supervision during LOOP Checks and transmitter adjustment
• Execution of motor rotation checks on pumps, fans, and rotating equipment
• Checking of valves and adjusting limit switches (position/torque)
• Inspection of systems regarding cleanliness
• Training of clients personnel
• Flushing of boiler and pipe systems with and without pump support
• Reliability checks (counter-measurements) on operational measuring equipment
• Cold functional checks / DCS-logic checks (SAT) based on process documentation (interlocks/releases)
• Testing and optimizing of automatic functions (manual automatic control, step sequences, control loops)
• Testing/adjusting and documentation of safety-related systems together with notified body and DCS-supplier
• Supervision and coordination of vendors specialists for package units / Black Box systems based on process demands
• Troubleshooting in case of process malfunctions on HZI STM management command
• Optimization of overall process during hot commissioning
• Regular communication to commissioning site management during daily meetings
• Training of clients personnel in continuous operation
• Preparation, execution, and documentation of performance and guarantee tests
