For our international client, a leading player in the FMCG industry, we are looking for a Commercial Manager - Poland & Czech Republic (FMCG / Distributor Management) to oversee commercial operations across Poland and the Czech Republic. This newly created role reflects the company’s continued investment in Central Europe and offers a high level of autonomy in driving strategy, managing distributor relationships, and optimizing the route to market across retail, convenience, and eCommerce channels.

The ideal candidate will be a commercially driven leader with deep experience in distributor-led models, a strong track record in P&L management, and excellent collaboration skills to coordinate with local partners and international teams.

 

Your responsibilities

  • Full commercial responsibility for sales and profit targets in Poland and the Czech Republic
  • Create and implement annual Joint Business Plans with local distributors
  • Define and execute go-to-market strategies for all product categories
  • Lead commercial negotiations with distributors and key customers
  • Manage launch strategies for new product developments (NPDs) within the indirect model
  • Train and support distributor sales teams in implementing the Perfect Store approach
  • Develop and optimize the Route to Market model to drive efficiency and growth
  • Build strong category stories and execution plans with regional and local trade teams
  • Ensure delivery of contractual obligations and high standards of customer activation

Employer requirements

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in commercial and sales leadership roles within the FMCG sector
  • Strong background in distributor management, ideally across multiple markets
  • Proven track record in P&L ownership, commercial planning, and driving revenue growth
  • Ability to build and manage Joint Business Plans with distributor partners
  • Experience in working within a matrix organization, navigating cross-functional stakeholders
  • Strategic mindset combined with a hands-on, execution-focused approach
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence at all levels
  • Fluent English (must-have) to collaborate effectively across regional and global teams
  • Willingness to travel within the region (approx. 30% of working time)
  • Comfortable working in a 100% remote setup, with a strong sense of independence, self-discipline, and ownership
  • University degree in Business, Marketing, or related field
