Our client is one of the most rapidly developing organizations within offshore and floating structures worldwide, with projects already in pre‑construction phase in Poland and many under operation and development worldwide. For their project team we are now looking for a Commercial Contracts Lawyer to join their renewable energy team, focusing on offshore wind farms which is the core of their activity. The role will be based in the Warsaw office and is expected to support Polish operations.
MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Contractual management of FIDIC based EPC/EPCI contracts
- Drafting and negotiating a wide range of commercial documentation including FIDIC and LOGIC/BIMCO contracts, supply agreements and confidentiality agreements.
- Analysis of complex and legal commercial issues arising from contract negotiations and existing contractual relationships.
- Managing and negotiating contractor claims.
- Advising on regulatory matters.
- Assisting with general legal enquiries from the business.
REQUIRED ACADEMIC SKILLS
Degree in law required; membership in a bar association or legal chamber of legal advisers would be an advantage
REQUIRED PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
- 5+ years of experience in an international law firm or in house;
- Experience in commercial litigation and/or commercial contracts (in the energy/infrastructure/ construction sector) and contract/claims management in RES/infrastructure project construction phase
- Experience in negotiating contracts;
SKILLS/ COMPETENCIES
- Analytical and critical thinking. Ability to negotiate, proactivity;
- General MS Office knowledge
