Commercial Controller – CMO Manager – EY

Location: Wrocław / Katowice – 2 days in office / 3 days remote

Join EY GDS Poland – a member of the global EY integrated service delivery network – to lead the commercial, financial and engagement aspects of high‑profile engagements. You will help engagement leadership deliver deal finances and contractual requirements while coaching junior team members.

Key Responsibilities

• Understand the commercial business case for the contract.
• Act as the single commercial point of contact for the client, engagement partner, tax account lead and tax leadership.
• Drive and activate commercial clauses, ensuring early visibility of non‑compliance.
• Build visibility of engagement financials and lead commercial governance with tax leadership, engagement partner and delivery lead.
• Report financial variances to plan, provide root‑cause analysis, and recommend risk management or opportunity realization.
• Support renewal of contracts.
• Lead and deploy a trained Commercial Operations team, ensuring compliance with standards and QRM requirements.
• Review deliverables of Commercial Operations, including internal contracting, change requests, cost estimates, billings, reporting and pricing plans.

Qualifications

• Strong commercial mindset with finance and engagement management experience.
• Proven ability to build relationships with leadership and influence key stakeholders.
• Self‑assured, proactive, and capable of providing fresh insight to business problems.
• Expertise in financial and operational modelling, data analysis and presentation.
• Experience in budgeting, forecasting, month‑end reporting, variance analysis, cash‑flow reporting and billing management.
• Strong understanding of P&L concepts and financial/commercial drivers.
• Experience managing complex billing structures and interdependencies.
• Desire to share knowledge and develop junior team members.

Desired Experience

• Project management skills to deliver outcomes in short timelines.
• Bachelor’s degree in finance/accounting/commerce/Tax; Master’s in business administration preferred.
• Managed a team of 2–3 people.
• 10–15 years of overall experience.
