Overview

The Commercial Accounting Manager will oversee accounting and financial reporting for commercial operations, ensuring compliance with global policies, managing month‑end close, and providing financial insights to support business decisions.

Responsibilities

• Lead commercial accounting activities, including revenue recognition and expense management
• Ensure compliance with global accounting standards and internal controls
• Manage month‑end close and prepare financial statements for commercial operations
• Collaborate with commercial teams to provide financial insights and support decision‑making
• Oversee trade spend accounting, including validation, reconciliation and matching of accruals against actuals across multiple channels and promotional types
• Partner with commercial and sales finance teams to ensure accurate tracking and forecasting of trade spend commitments
• Analyze variances between planned and actual trade spend to identify root causes and support corrective actions
• Maintain robust accrual matching processes to ensure financial integrity and timely recognition of liabilities
• Drive process improvements and automation initiatives
• Support audits and maintain audit‑ready documentation
• Monitor KPIs and ensure timely reporting

Qualifications & Experience

• Experience in accounting or finance, preferably in commercial operations
• Strong knowledge of revenue recognition and expense accounting
• Experience with ERP systems (SAP preferred)
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills
• Strong leadership and communication abilities
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment
