Job Details

Position: Collection Specialist (BG Finance & IT, sub‑function: BG Controlling). Permanent contract, Full‑time, Hybrid shift. Location: Portugal, Spain, Czech Republic or Poland.

Responsibilities

• Daily follow‑up of late payments and proactive identification of potential payment problems.
• Collaborate with credit specialists, sales, customer service, and finance to resolve disputes and reduce payment delays.
• Maintain and update the FSCM database; distribute statements and dunning letters per the defined Collection Strategy.
• Pre‑due calls to detect and resolve administrative issues before the due date.
• Follow up on disputed invoices and claim data to understand root causes and support rectification.
• Accurately record and update customer accounts, claims, disputes, agreements, and contact data.
• Report on key reasons for non‑payment, payment term discrepancies, and top 20 customers per site.
• Provide early warning signals and report any payment behaviour changes to Collection Manager and Credit Managers.
• Support urgent actions for blocked accounts.

Qualifications

• Formal qualifications and relevant experience in collections and customer‑facing activities.
• Proficiency with SAP and FSCM, plus Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to work cross‑culturally and across sites.
• Basic understanding of accounting and good numerical aptitude.
• Fluency in English and at least one of the following languages: French (priority), Polish, Dutch, German, or Turkish.
• Results‑oriented, persuasive, with strong negotiation skills and resilience.
• Team player with meticulous attention to detail and ability to work independently and in a structured manner.
