Job Description

Project – the aim youll have:

You will lead and shape the newly created Data Engineers team, driving architectural decisions and best practices in our UK-based project. Were seeking an experienced Senior Cloud Data Engineer with deep expertise in modern data platforms and cloud technologies to tackle complex data engineering challenges and pioneer innovative solutions.

Position – how youll contribute:

• You will architect and implement enterprise-scale data solutions, leading the design and execution of critical data infrastructure improvements.
• You will drive technical excellence in data engineering, establishing best practices for ETL/ELT processes, data modeling, and pipeline optimization.
• You will mentor team members and provide technical leadership across multiple workstreams.
• You will collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable data solutions.

Qualifications

Expectations – the experience you need:

• 5+ years of commercial experience in Data Engineering, with experience in a senior technical leadership role.
• Strong expertise in modern data warehouse architectures, with Snowflake experience preferred.
• Advanced knowledge of Python for data processing and automation.
• Expert-level SQL skills for complex data transformations and optimization.
• Extensive experience in designing and implementing ETL/ELT pipelines.
• Deep expertise in Azure cloud services and data platform components.
• Strong background in Infrastructure as Code – Terraform.
• Proven experience with GIT and CI/CD tools (Azure DevOps).
• Track record of successfully implementing enterprise-scale data solutions.
• Expertise in data visualization tools, particularly Power BI.
• Great communication skills in English both verbal and written.
