Right now, we are looking for Cloud Architect to join our EY GDS Technology Consulting team focused on providing cutting-edge IT solutions dedicated to the biggest market players in the EMEA region.

Your key responsibilities

1. Provides innovative and practical designs for Tech-forward transformations, applying advanced technical capabilities.
2. Provides technical expertise to maximize value from new and existing IT products and solutions in cloud, multi-cloud, hybrid cloud solutions.
3. Guides others in resolving sophisticated issues in cloud architecture and solves sophisticated, escalated aspects of architecture.
4. Works across multidisciplinary teams and with the business to deliver simple and easy-to-use systems that meet user needs and gain client/business customers' buy-in consensus.
5. Provides coaching, mentoring, and support to development teams during integration of components and services across the ecosystem, frameworks, and platforms.
6. Actively participates in pre-sales activity, designs technical solutions, estimates costs, proposes strategies, and gathers NFR. Documents and describes architecture.

Skills and attributes for success

1. Advanced understanding of cloud architecture.
2. Ability to communicate solutions, ideas, and suggestions to business partners effectively and comprehensibly.
3. Ability to adopt and relate new technologies to the set of problems while adhering to security and other standards.
4. Excellent collaboration, interpersonal, and communication skills.
5. Strong collaboration abilities – willingness to share ideas, documentation, and leading practices.
6. Conceptual and analytical skills – ability to extract, analyze, and document complex business and technical requirements/strategies.

To qualify for the role, you must have

1. More than 10 years of applied experience in IT - min. 2+ years working in an Architect role.
2. Hands-on experience designing, building, and hosting solutions such as private/public cloud IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS platforms.
3. Deep understanding of Cloud architecture and non-functional aspects like Performance, Scalability, Reliability, Availability, and other “capabilities” of a system.
4. Excellent English verbal and written communication with C-Level customers.

Ideally, you’ll also have

1. Deep knowledge of technical architecture spanning across all aspects of each system and how it can be applied in a business context.
2. Good understanding of the latest cloud computing and data technologies, business drivers, emerging computing trends, and deployment options.
3. Working knowledge of design and integration of platform solutions.
4. Experience with programming languages.
5. Microsoft Azure, GCP, or AWS Cloud Certified.
