Your Responsibilities 

As an Cloud Platform Engineer in Baloise Solution Hub, you are working as part of the Baloise Cloud Platform team that is driving a multinational insurance company in a move to Microsoft Azure. You'll play play a key role in enhancing and operating our cloud infrastructure.

• Drive the development of our Azure Cloud platform with a strong emphasis on Infrastructure as Code, Kubernetes, and GitOps.
• Implement infrastructure abstractions using the Kubernetes API, leveraging tools like Crossplane or custom operators.
• Improve self-service infrastructure, observability, web application firewall, and API management platforms to empower internal users.
• Work closely with internal customers to understand their needs and adapt the platform accordingly.

Your ideal background and skillset

• Extensive experience with Azure Cloud .
• Deep knowledge of Kubernetes and its ecosystem.
• Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code tools ( Terraform , Crossplane ) and GitOps.
• Strong software development skills, preferably in Go, with a solid understanding of Cloud Security & Compliance.
• A passion for modern engineering practices and agile working environments.
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
