Charles River Development is rapidly growing its Software-as-a-Service platform. We are looking for a hands-on, well-rounded FinOps Analyst role for our growing Cloud FinOps team. The team you will be joining is a part of Charles River Development (or CRD), that became a part of State Street in 2018. CRD helps create enterprise investment management software solutions for large institutions in the areas of institutional investment, wealth management and hedge funds. Together we have created first open front-to-back platform - State Street Alpha, that was launched in 2019.

What you will be responsible for
- Partner with SaaS, engineering, and Finance teams to implement and maintain robust FinOps practices with the goal of creating a Cloud Center of Excellence (CCOE).
- Analyze cloud utilization data from Azure and AWS to identify cost optimization opportunities.
- Develop and implement cost-savings strategies, including right sizing resources, analyzing reserved instances and savings plans opportunities, and leveraging spot instances.
- Maintain, build, update dashboards and reports to provide clear visibility into cloud consumption, resource utilization, and spend, providing customer contribution model .
- Collaborate with stakeholders across the organization to promote a culture of cloud cost awareness and accountability, leveraging appropriate chargeback models.
- Evaluate vendor contracts and agreements to ensure alignment with business objectives and cost-efficiency.
- Forecast future cloud costs and develop budgets to ensure efficient resource allocation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives and best practices adoption.
- Stay up to date on the latest FinOps best practices and cloud cost management tools.
- Reviews the competitive marketplace and adjusts operationalize activities based upon identified information.

Education & Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Economics, Computer Science, or related field. Master’s degrees or professional certifications are a plus.
- 2+ years of experience in financial analysis or cloud cost management.
- Strong understanding of cloud computing concepts (Azure, AWS preferred)
- Experience with cloud cost management tools and data analysis platforms (e.g., Cloudability, Cloudhealth, Power BI).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
