Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Accounting, Economics, Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology Management or similar.
2. Understanding of the core Finance & Accounting principles and basic understanding of the accounting processes (budgeting, accruals, etc.).
3. Knowledge and understanding of Public Cloud pricing schemes.
4. Experience and deep understanding of the Google Cloud Platform (or other public cloud).
5. Experience in cost optimization and saving implementations on cloud projects.
6. Experience with BigQuery & Looker Studio and other similar database/visualization tools.
7. High proficiency with MS Excel and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities:

1. Defining, driving, tracking and reporting on identified structural cloud optimization tactics and associated targets, with the objective to reduce costs.
2. Producing optimization recommendation reports and presenting findings at working group meetings.
3. Developing support tools and teaching aids to help value streams, platforms, and the business understand their cloud spend patterns and areas for potential optimization.
4. Coordinating with platform engineers, value streams, and business stakeholders to develop architectural approaches for optimized consumption of cloud services.
5. Preparing and presenting monthly KPI and financial updates.
6. Accurately forecasting cloud spending at a granular level and tracking performance against budget.
7. Building financial/forecasting cost models to evaluate investment decisions.
8. Participating in cross-functional efforts to continuously improve data quality and establish rigor in measuring and monitoring the business.
