about-project :

  • At Bnewable, we’re on a mission to empower businesses in their energy transition journey.
  • We invest in, develop, and operate sustainable and decentralised energy systems — helping our clients achieve their sustainability goals while simplifying the complexity of energy production, storage, and asset management.
  • As a Cloud Engineer, you’ll play a key role in building and evolving the cloud foundations that power our energy management platform. You’ll help ensure our solutions are secure, reliable, and scalable, supporting products that manage energy generation, consumption, and optimisation at scale.
  • You’ll work closely with Backend Engineers, Product, and Architecture teams, embedding Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles into everything we build — from automation and observability to resilience and performance.
  • At Bnewable, we value entrepreneurial spirit, curiosity, and collaboration. You’ll be part of a dynamic, mission-driven team that combines technical excellence with real-world impact — creating the digital backbone of the sustainable energy systems of tomorrow.

responsibilities :

  • Design, build, and maintain reliable, secure, and scalable cloud infrastructure powering products that accelerate the energy transition.
  • Automate deployments and operations using Terraform, CI/CD pipelines, and modern DevOps practices.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create flexible, future-ready solutions that enable innovation and sustainability.
  • Drive reliability and performance through proactive monitoring, observability, and continuous improvement.
  • Champion best practices in security, automation, and cloud architecture, ensuring our platforms remain resilient and efficient.
  • Continuously evolve our cloud ecosystem, adopting new tools and technologies to enhance scalability and developer productivity.
  • Take ownership of the systems and services you build — from design to production — ensuring they deliver real-world impact.

requirements-expected :

  • Experience: 3+ years in Cloud Engineering, DevOps, or Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) roles.
  • Cloud Expertise: Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) — including Compute Engine, GKE, Cloud Run, Pub/Sub, BigQuery, Cloud SQL, IAM, and VPC.
  • Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Strong expertise with Terraform — including module development, state management, and best practices for scalable infrastructure.
  • CI/CD Pipelines: Proven experience implementing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (preferably with GitHub Actions, but experience with Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Cloud Build is also valued).
  • Automation & Scripting: Proficiency in Python or Go with an automation-first mindset.
  • Containers & Orchestration: Solid understanding of Docker, Kubernetes, and Cloud Run for containerized application deployment and management.
  • Networking: Knowledge of VPC design, load balancing, DNS, firewalls, and service mesh architectures.
  • Monitoring & Observability: Experience with Prometheus, Grafana, Cloud Logging, and Cloud Monitoring.
  • Security: Deep understanding of IAM, service accounts, least privilege, secrets management, and vulnerability management best practices.
  • SRE Principles: Familiarity with SLIs, SLOs, error budgets, and incident management processes.
  • Performance & Cost Optimization: Ability to tune and optimize cloud workloads for performance, scalability, and cost efficiency.
  • Collaboration: Experience working in Agile, cross-functional teams, with a strong focus on communication and teamwork.
  • Problem-Solving: Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and debug complex infrastructure issues.
  • Mindset: Pragmatic, results-oriented, and passionate about automation, scalability, and reliability.
