For our customer, we are looking for a highly skilled Cloud Engineer with specialized expertise in clustering technologies, particularly Pacemaker, and a strong background in hyperscaler platforms such as Azure, AWS, GCP, and IBM Cloud.

The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) and SUSE Linux Enterprise Server (SLES), as well as the ability to design and implement high-availability solutions using Pacemaker across multiple operating systems.

This role plays a key part in ensuring the stability and availability of cloud-hosted applications, especially for SAP workloads, and includes leading proof-of-concept (PoC) projects and collaborating with development teams on requirements and documentation.

Your tasks:

• Designing and implementing Pacemaker clustering solutions across RHEL and SLES platforms.
• Contributing to clustering architecture decisions ensuring high scalability and reliability.
• Troubleshooting and resolving complex Pacemaker cluster issues, including failover testing and configuration.
• Designing, deploying, and maintaining HA solutions across Azure, AWS, GCP, and IBM Cloud.
• Managing multi-cloud high-availability environments using both cloud-native and Pacemaker tools.
• Leading and supporting PoC initiatives to evaluate new clustering architectures.
• Producing detailed technical documentation and architecture diagrams for reproducibility and automation.
• Implementing and optimizing Pacemaker-based HA solutions for SAP S/4HANA, NetWeaver, and HANA databases.
• Ensuring full integration of SAP systems with clustering technologies.
• Working with development and business teams to define and refine HA infrastructure requirements.
• Preparing and delivering clear technical documentation and status reports for stakeholders.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in clustering and HA solutions with a focus on Pacemaker.
• Hands-on experience in cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP, IBM Cloud).
• Strong knowledge of RHEL and SLES administration and tuning in clustered environments.
• Deep expertise in Pacemaker clustering, resource agents, fencing, and quorum management.
• Experience deploying SAP systems (S/4HANA, NetWeaver, HANA) in HA clusters.
• Knowledge of DB2 or HANA in HA setups; automation tools like Ansible would be a plus.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong collaboration and leadership skills.
• Fluent English communication (written and spoken).
• Bachelor"s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
• Advanced certifications in cloud (Azure, AWS, GCP) or clustering (Pacemaker) are a plus.
