Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Cloud Engineer to join our team as the Engineering Manager Deputy. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting our AWS backbone infrastructure, assisting development teams, and engaging in pre-sales activities. Additionally, you will maintain direct contact with customers to support implementations.

The ideal candidate will have proven expertise in AWS (certified AWS Solution Architect), experience in distributed environments, and strong knowledge of middleware and programming.

Responsibilities:

AWS Landing Zone Management:

  • Oversee and maintain AWS infrastructure to ensure high availability, scalability, and security.
  • Govern the multi-account AWS setup.
  • Implement best practices for cloud architecture and governance.
  • Optimize cloud services and manage costs effectively.
  • Work closely with IT and Security teams in a matter of cloud access management.

Support Development Teams:

  • Collaborate with development teams to design and deploy cloud-native applications.
  • Provide guidance on cloud infrastructure, security, and deployment strategies.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to cloud infrastructure and services.
  • Provide and support CI/CD infrastructure.

Pre-sales and Customer Engagement:

  • Participate in pre-sales activities by providing technical expertise and crafting tailored solutions for potential clients.
  • Conduct technical presentations and demonstrations to showcase our cloud capabilities.

Implementation Support:

  • Lead and support the implementation of cloud solutions for customers.
  • Ensure successful integration of cloud services with existing systems and applications.
  • Provide post-implementation support and troubleshooting as needed.

Qualifications:

Experience:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in AWS cloud engineering.
  • Proven experience in distributed environments and cloud architecture.
  • Demonstrated experience in a customer-facing role, supporting implementations and pre-sales activities.

Certifications:

  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect Professional required.
  • Additional AWS certifications are a plus.

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in middleware technologies such as PostgreSQL, RabbitMQ, Redis, Spark, DynamoDB
  • Strong knowledge of at least two programming languages: Java and Python.
  • Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.

Soft Skills:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness and ability to provide guidance and support to junior team members.
