Your career opportunity
As a Cloud Database Administrator you will be a key part of the team managing the bank databases on both on prem and Azure cloud.
responsibilities :
Working with key Software Delivery and Enterprise Services stakeholders around the business / local & global teams
Managing databases on MS Azure public cloud (Azure SQL)
Maintenance and management of SQL cluster environments
Data modelling, data masking, database maintenance, backup and restore
Monitoring and optimizing performance in Azure SQL
Managing HSBC Data De-Identification (Data Masking) to HSBC standards
Managing the SQL job scheduling
Writing database & client documentation, including procedures and definitions for customer environment specifics.
requirements-expected :
Solid experience working with Azure SQL
Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate
Azure Synapse Knowledge and hands on experience
Proven ability to provision, configure, and manage Azure SQL (managed instances and databases)
Proven ability to implement and maintain high availability and disaster recovery solutions for Azure SQL
Proven experience with data lakes and warehousing
Proven experience of monitoring and optimizing database performance using Azure monitoring tools
Proven experience of writing database documentation, including data standards, procedures, and definitions for the data dictionary (metadata)
