As a Clearance Broker you will work closely with Customs to enable our on-time clearance and delivery. You will ensure checks and processes are completed that result in timely and effective processing of transactions and legal and regulatory compliance. In this position, efficient, courteous and professional communication and taking ownership of issues/requirements are key to the role. You will be responsible for:

1. Preparing customs entry documentation based on paperwork supplied with the shipment.
2. Checking if all customs documentation is completed correctly.
3. Contacting clients by email to provide any missing or unclear information necessary to allow customs clearance.
4. Ensuring the correct identification and accurate input of shipment information into appropriate systems.
5. Producing and validating customs data and paperwork to support the achievement of regulatory and internal compliance standards and to ensure timely clearance.
6. Ensuring accuracy within a fast-paced goal-oriented environment.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Fluent in German (B2 – C1) and English (B1-B2)
• Team player with a can-do attitude.
• Customer focused with excellent communication skills.
• Attention to detail and able to work to tight deadlines.
• Task oriented with good time management.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Able to make independent decisions based on expertise.
• Willing to develop in a multinational/multicultural environment.
• Experience in customer service would be an asset.
