The CIIOM Lead Architect is accountable for supporting CIIOM CIO business unit in all the architecture related tasks, including, but not limited to: assuring architectural governance as required by HSBC Risk Controls, preparing cross-VS views of Target State Architectures and Roadmaps, assuring local designs is reflecting VS Future State Architectures (FSA), ensuring local requirements are reflected in VS FSA, leading (and sometimes singlehandedly delivering) design for platform and local systems in multiple business areas.
responsibilities :
To be an active participant in regional projects assuring that the appropriate architectural input with CIIOM market variations will be reflected in designs.
Promote collaboration and success across the broader delivery teams operating in CIIOM, building stakeholder buy-in around the design for local applications and support for global platforms.
Supporting delivery teams to manage design proactively, balancing scope, schedule, resourcing, dependencies, communications and budgets.
Providing design guidance to delivery teams on how projects aligns to Future State Architectures and strategic objectives, where appropriate, and to the change portfolio across HBSC CIIOM markets.
Building logical and technical designs for local variances where required or allowed by global strategies.
Enforcing process discipline and improvements in areas of expertise, such as disciplined agile software delivery, production support processes, or continuous DevOps pipelines development.
Ensuring adherence to standard controls and drives teams to achieve compliance and framework, capability management, security controls and technology architecture designs.
Establishing effective governance and controls, in line with HSBC Transformation and delivery Frameworks.
requirements-expected :
Excellent knowledge of design methodologies, Architecture frameworks and IT software solutions.
Proven experience in an IT environment and/or an IT role.
Awareness of DevOps and Agile principles.
Excellent understanding of how technology adds value to the business and ultimately the end customer.
Good communication and interpersonal skills, including the capacity to articulate the case for IT investments and alternatives in business language and demonstrated ability to build relationships with key stakeholders.
Strong commercial orientation, appreciating the business usage of systems developed.
Excellent planning and organisation skills as well as self-motivation and proactiveness.
Dynamic and willing to challenge the status quo with desire and commitment to make a difference.
