We are supporting a leading client from the automotive sector in modernizing their CI pipeline ecosystem. The project is divided into two technical streams, both focusing on DevOps automation, code quality, and pipeline optimization. You will be part of a team that is actively replacing outdated tools, introducing robust frameworks, and enhancing the overall CI/CD architecture to support large-scale embedded software development.
CI / Automation Engineer (Automotive Industry)
Your responsibilities
- Migrate commit check tools and custom wrappers into a standardized pre-commit framework.
- Redesign and refactor Git hooks to improve maintainability and cross-team consistency.
- Execute the migration of source code repositories from GitLab to Gerrit.
- Implement structured test object lifecycle stages in CI to improve pipeline reliability and traceability.
- Gradually decommission legacy tools (e.g., SWAT) and support the rollout of modern CI alternatives.
- Cooperate closely with development teams to align CI practices with product development goals.
Our requirements
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in CI/CD environments.
- University degree in Computer Science or related technical field.
- Strong scripting and automation skills using Python and Groovy (Jenkins).
- Proven experience with Azure DevOps or Azure ecosystem.
- Practical knowledge of CI tools and source control systems, including GitLab and Gerrit.
- Experience with static code analysis tools and quality gates.
- Familiarity with MongoDB, Jira (VIRA).
- Basic understanding or exposure to C/C++ or Java development environments.
- Previous experience in the automotive or embedded systems domain.
